• O ifi LAB / The ifi LAB
É um projecto iniciado por i e fi para celebrar e partilhar todo o amor nas suas vidas. A ifiShop é apenas uma parte, o lugar onde se encontra aquilo que adoram fazer.
The ifi LAB project was started to share the all loveliness that surrounds i and fi’s lives. The ifiShop is just a part of it, the place where you can find what they love to do.
• O conceito LAB / The LAB's concept
Baseia-se na crença que a maternidade transforma definitivamente uma mulher mas não necessariamente o seu estilo e nasceu para satisfazer tanto as suas necessidades enquanto mães que valorizam também outras partes das suas vidas, dos interesses pessoais à sua profissão, quanto o seu desejo de as exprimir positivamente e inspirar.
The whole concept of the LAB is based in their belief that maternity definitely transforms a woman but not necessarily her style and rose to satisfy both their own needs as new mums, that value other components of their lives from their personal interests to their careers, and their desire to positively express them and inspire.
Marcado pela ternura que envolve esta nova fase das suas vidas, o processo de desenvolvimento do ifi LAB também incorporou alguns aspectos como o tipo de pensamento estrutural e sistemático que i e fi aplicam nos seus trabalhos como arquitecta e analista de sistemas. Também o próprio título do projecto tem um duplo sentido. A palavra LAB resume o conteúdo (Lovely Accessories for Babies) e salienta o seu carácter experimental, característico desta fase em que tudo é novo e variável. Como num laboratório, i e fi desenvolvem e testam os níveis de qualidade e "lindeza" de todos os seus produtos.
The developing process of the LAB is driven by the sweeter side of this new stage of their lives but also incorporated some aspects such as the type of structural and systematic thinking they’re used to apply in their jobs as architect and information system analyst. Also the title chosen for the project has that double sense. The word LAB not only resumes what it´s all about (Lovely Accessories for Babies) but also highlights its experimental character, as motherhood in general when everything is new and keeps changing. Like in a laboratory i and fi discuss, develop and test the quality and lovelyness levels of all ifi products.
• Estética e Inspiração / Aesthetics and Inspiration
Como resultado, a estética de todos os acessórios ifi baseia-se em regras, grelhas e sequências que lhes conferem o seu aspecto gráfico, e em acontecimentos quotidianos relacionados com a vida com bebés que inspiram os seus detalhes ou paletas de cores, determinam a sua forma e funcionalidade, e definem a sua essência suave. Os acessórios ifi para bebés são fáceis de usar e transportar, e possuir. Peças lindas mas acessíveis. Acessórios para mãe e bebé num só passo.
In result, the aesthetics of all the Lovely Accessories for Babies is based in rules, grids and sequences, which gives them their graphic and sharp appearance, and in everyday happenings related to life around babies that inspire it´s details or color palets, and determine their sape and function, and define their soft essence. ifi accessories are easy to manage, use, and carry, but also delightful to possess. You and your baby will be accessorized in just one step.
A pensar também nos pais dos bebés, que usam os mesmos objectos, os acessórios ifi são um “must have” para todos pelas suas formas básicas e detalhes simples. Nem demasiado femininos, nem demasiado infantis.
Also keeping baby daddies in mind, who use the same items, ifi accessories are must have for all due to its basic forms and simple details. Not to feminine nor childish.
Procurando inspirar outras mães, pais, amigos, seguidores, e querendo envolver todos no processo, i e fi decidiram partilhar todas as imagens de inspiração na origem das suas colecções de acessórios que esperam que tornem vidas mais simples e libertem tempo para aquilo que realmente importa. Fazer o que se gosta, com quem se gosta, com estilo. Essas imagens que constituem o seu e o imaginário infantil colectivo foram e serão sempre criteriosamente seleccionadas, editadas, e "traduzidas", para preservar o essencial dessas bonitas memórias.
Hoping to positively inspire you, other mums, dads, friends, followers, and to get everybody involved in the whole process, i and fi decided to share all the images of inspiration behind the making of the items they hope will make lives simpler and save all the time for what matters. Do what you love, with the ones you love, with style. Those images that constitute theirs and everybody´s childhood references were and always be thoughtfully selected, edited, and "translated", in order to preserve the essence of all those beautiful memories.

O seu bebé cresce mas os acessórios ifi podem ser usados e reutilizados por muito tempo. Embora idealizados para as primeiras fases das vossas vidas eles parecem pertencer-lhe a si e não ao seu recém-nascido ou bebé.
Your baby will grow but you will use and re-use ifi accessories for as long as you wish. That´s because although they were designed for the first stages your lives they look like they belong to you and not to your newborn or toddler.
